Artist Statement.

My artistic practice primarily involves oil painting, with drawings and videos. 

 

Oil painting is my main medium. I work with various types of oils, petroleum solvents, turpentine, and other chemical materials to create organic textures. My goal is to find a balance between narrative, metaphor, and abstraction.

 

In my digital works, I focus on magnifying everyday objects to create more poetic visual effects. I employ a linear approach to simulate the complexity I encounter in life, viewing this as a means of crafting imaginative perspectives.

 

My creative process emphasizes working across multiple layers. The vanishing point in my perspective often resides at infinity, sometimes positioned at the center of the composition to establish a three-dimensional effect. Perspective imitates how humans observe objects, but for extremely distant things—such as stars and the sun—or when reference points are absent, our perception of distance diminishes.

 

What I seek to highlight is this: when infinite distance represents an endlessly stretching past, shifting the vanishing point to a personal perspective—integrating diverse understandings, perceptions, and dimensions of time—can offer a more multidimensional and comprehensive viewpoint.

我的創作以油畫、插畫和影片為主。

 

油畫是我的核心媒介,我運用各種油料、石油溶劑、松節油及其他化學材料,創造出具有有機質感的畫面效果。我在創作中嘗試在敘事性、隱喻性與抽象性之間尋求平衡。

 

在數位作品中,我更專注於放大日常物件,透過這種方式營造出更多詩意的視覺效果。同時,我採用線性表現手法來模擬生活中的複雜性,並將其視為探索富有想像力的視角的一種方式。

 

我的創作過程注重多層次的展開。透視法中的消失點通常設置在無窮遠處,有時位於畫面中心,以營造三維空間感。透視法模擬了人類觀察物體的方式,然而,當面對極其遙遠的事物,例如星星、太陽,或是在失去參考物的情境下,我們對距離的感知往往會變得模糊。

 

我想強調的是,當這種無限的距離象徵過去的不斷延伸時,若將消失點移轉到個人的視角,並整合不同的理解、感知與時間的維度,將能展現更多元、更全面的視野。
